在 Debian 系的发行版上，如果安装 vmware tools 时，经常会遇到如下提示：

Searching for GCC...
The path "/usr/bin/gcc" is not valid path to the gcc binary.
Would you like to change it? [yes]

这是默认情况下，没有安装 gcc 以及内核头文件造成的，光安装 gcc 不行，安装完了即使在 /usr/bin/ 里可以看到 gcc，但仍然会看到上面的错误，解决办法：

$sudo aptitude install gcc-4.3 linux-headers-`uname -r` -y
